WHEN LOVE CAME DOWN

While Shepherds watched their flock
On that night serene and sweet
They heard the angels rock
With a crystal and celestial hit.

Telling of the descent of love
For unto us a child is born
A precious gift from God above
Jesus Christ-God's Holy Son.

For love came sweetly down
Choosing to be born as a man
In the city of David- Bethlehem town
For that was God's perfect plan.

Glory to God in the highest
Peace and good will to men
God gave us His very best
When Christ the Savior came.
Love came sweetly down to earth
Willing to pay such a lofty price
Oh the glory of the Savior's birth
And now we will triumphantly rise.

Effusing with healing and grace
He went about doing good
Brought salvation to the human race
Teaching us to live as we should.

Love came down and was crucified
To redeem the souls of sinful men
That we may be sanctified and justified
And enjoy eternal bliss in heaven.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9 vs 6(KJV)

GOD IS GOOD

He gives us food
Isn't He good?
Grains,herbs and meat
To relish as we eat.

He forgives our sins
Giving us a heart clean.
He keeps us healthy and strong
And gives a brand new song.

He sends us beautiful music
In days bland and bleak
Dispelling our doubts and despair
Causing our weary hearts to cheer.

He guards us from the evil brood
Isn't He good?
Rescues us from the grave
God mighty to save.

He renews our youth
And all our pains He soothes
With mercy and love unfailing
Carries us on eagle's wings.

In His presence is joy
With pleasures that never cloy
For God is good all the time
So let His praises chime!

O give thanks unto the Lord;for He is good: for His mercy endureth forever.      Psalm 136:1(KJV)

I SEE HIS MERCY

I see His mercy
In every dreary and stormy weather
In seasons of sorrow, pain or loss
His mercy endures forever.

I see His mercy
Reaching out to the insolent
Calling out to the vile and profligate
He calls each one to humbly repent.

Lord,Your mercy is overwhelming
Even in times we stumble and fall
You offer forgiveness and healing
Giving a listening ear when we call.

I see His mercy
In every tear that flows
He lets the rain clouds pour
To make our cherished crops grow.

I see His mercy
In every scintillating smile
From hearts changed by His love
He gives strength for our mile.

Radiant as the morning sun
Steady as the flowing spring
His mercy awakens the dawn
His mercy makes my heart sing.

It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23(KJV)

GOD'S LOVE LETTER TO YOU

Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy name, O Lord God of hosts.Jeremiah 15:16(KJV)

Over the Centuries, men of great minds have penned down great words which continue to inspire generations after them. However, the greatest book ever written remains the Bible. The Bible which consists of the Old and New testaments is a collection of 66 books written by men who were inspired by the Holy Spirit. It contains the mind of God,the state of man and shows us the way of salvation.

The Bible is God's love letter to us and provides answers to all of life's questions. It is food for the soul, health to the body and life to the Spirit.According to Gideons International,"It should fill the memory, rule the heart and guide the feet.Read it slowly, frequently and prayerfully. It is a mine of wealth,a paradise of glory and a river of pleasure".

According to F.B. Meyer(One of history's great Bible teachers),"Read the Bible not as a newspaper, but as a love letter; if a cluster of heavenly fruit hangs within your reach, gather it.If a promise lies upon the page as a blank cheque, cash it.If a prayer is recorded, launch as a feathered arrow from the bow of your desire".

Let us read God's love letter and more than that, may we be doers of the Word.
READ YOUR BIBLE AND AND PRAY EVERYDAY!!!

GLORY

FAVOURITE QUOTES OF FANNY CROSBY-THE HYMN WRITER

When I get to heaven, the first face that shall ever gladden my sight will be that of my Saviour.
                                                                                                        Fanny Crosby
~*~
It may seem a little old-fashioned,always to begin one's work with prayer, but I never undertake a hymn without first asking the good Lord to be my inspiration.
                                                                                                        Fanny Crosby
~*~
Speed away, speed away with the life-giving Word,
To the nations that know not the voice of the Lord;
Take the wings of the morning and fly o'er the wave,
In the strength of your Master the lost ones to save;
He is calling once more, not a moment's delay,
Speed away! speed away! speed away!
Fanny Crosby(Excerpt from her hymn"SPEED AWAY")
~*~

O what a happy soul am I!
   Although I cannot see,
I am resolved that in this world
   Contented I will be;
How many blessings I enjoy
   That other people don't!
To weep and sigh because I'm blind,
   I cannot, and I won't."

Fanny Crosby(This poem was written  when she was only eight years old)

I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them. Isaiah 42 vs 16(NIV)

GOD'S GRACE

God's grace makes the difference
We triumph through His grace
As we dwell in His holy presence
As we seek His majestic face.

God's grace keeps us pure and holy
In a world full of contamination
As Christians we are called to be
A royal priesthood and a holy nation.

God's grace still amazes me
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
Flows from His Word like sweet honey
Amazing grace in Christ is found!

For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.It teaches us to say"No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled,upright and godly lives in this present age.

Titus 2:11-12(NIV)

I'm so grateful for God's grace and mercies  which are new every morning.Amazing grace how sweet the sound!!!

YOUR LEGACY

Someday, someone will be reading your legacy. What will it say?
Never forget that you are writing your own eulogy with every passing day.
Today,as you read these words.
Tonight,as you interact with your family.
Tomorrow,as you move through your waking hours.

Your words, your choices, your schedule, your friends all help to define your life.So take this time to think....

What will you be remembered for when you're gone?

A question that stirs my heart....I'm always inspired reading about the great heroes of faith. If they were able to overcome their challenges, then we also can and even more....As the coming of the Lord draws nearer.

Sharing God's love and letting others know about Jesus Christ is one of the greatest things we can do with our lives here on earth.

So lets  choose to leave a legacy of love...
