The Smile Of A Child
Somewhere today a child needs to smile
Who has shed secret tears a long while
How great the hurt and pain she feels
And she's asking, "Is God real?"
Somewhere today is a precious dream
Of a place where love is the flowing stream
This child's heart now full of sorrow
Has hope of a brighter tomorrow.

Somewhere today a child needs a smile
As she's faced circumstances harsh and hostile
A smile, a hug, a listening ear from true love
And then she'll gladly sing to God above.

Somewhere today a child needs to know
Of Jesus Christ and how He loves her so
He said,"Let the children come to me."
For Heaven's kingdom is for such as these.

Somewhere today a child needs to smile
Needing a true friend to aid her through her miles
So let God's name today be glorified
As we inspire the smile of a child!
